Hair Trial and Final Dress fitting

Believe it or not I took no pictures at either! But I must say I am getting so excited and happy about everything to come. Tomorrow is my cousins wedding and then the next day is only two weeks until my wedding! My dress fits perfectly, like a glove and my mom and maid of honor, Lauren came with me so that the seamstress could show them how to do the bustle. I put on my jewelry and it looks really good with my dress!

I have been getting together my bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts and I am so happy that everything looks good and is coming together so well. I don't want to put them up thought because some of my bridemaids read my blog!

My hair trial went really well and even my very opinionated mom liked my hair just as much as I did. I went for a facial last week to prepare my skin and have been tanning lately to get a little color! :)

I am so ready to be Mrs. Pavao!

Then I am off to Aruba....... :)

Blossoms

This past week my mom and I went to Golden Gate Studios to see a trial centerpiece. We are going to have high, medium and low centerpieces and Jay did one high and one low for us to see. I LOVE the high ones! They make such a statement I feel, and the colors are exactly what I wanted. They tie the pink and brown into the tables and I love them :)

On another note we had our Bachelorette and Bachelor parties last weekend and they were lots of fun! My girls took me to see the Chipendales in Boston and I must say, we had quite a good time for ourselves :)

I can't believe the wedding is 20 days away! :)

So, it was an eventful weekend and we accomplished a lot of things! My maid of honor, my sister and one of my other bridesmaids went to the bridal shop for their first fitting and I am so happy about how the colors look together and how flattering the dresses are on all the girls body types. It was fairly quick and painless and I am glad we got it done because the wedding is coming up fast.

My aunt also came over tonight to drop off my cardbox that I started and then I hit a wall and so my aunt said she would take it home. She used for the modern bride dot com for inspiration and I am really happy with the result! :)

Time is flying

Time is not waiting for anyone. My wedding is a little more than a month away and there is so much to do! We are getting things done but all the tiny details are pulling themselves together slowly and I am so happy with everything that we have accomplished. My fiance has been phenomenal at helping and creating so many things that will take the wedding from "wow" to SHA-ZAM!" I am really just ready to see it all together and marry the man I have been waiting to marry for nearly two years :)

2nd Shower!!

So last weekend my fiance told me that we had a cousin day at his families house. It's something that we have done before where all the cousin get together and play games and its a lot of fun. Well, we got there and we walked in and I saw my mom, my sister and my aunt. It was a shower for me with my fiance's side of the family. They did a cute pink and brown theme and had baby pictures of both of us and they did a really nice job. My mom got me my pant set and I was so excited because that was the only thing that I really wanted that I didn't get at my first shower. We got lots of money too and thats exciting because now I can finish my dishes!

We played a bridal version of picturary and it was lots of fun and we laughed and had so much fun

My First Dress Fitting

It's been a while and I have been a busy girl! I went for my first dress fitting and I had begun to have a few second thoughts about my dress but then when I went and tried it on in the bridal store, I knew it was the right dress! I love it.

I also went to best buy with my friend Anne, and we talked with her boyfriend about buying a TV for my fiance for his wedding present. I have always been over the top in my presents and I am not going to stop now! I think choosing between Plasma and LCD was a really hard choice. I choose one but the tv's are going to go on sale next week so I decided to wait another week. My fiance's best friend just bought a new one so I texted him to get his opinion but he really wasn't that much help! So I decided on LCD- Samsung 52"!

Wow Shocked

So when I think of my future step mother in law, I think of a witch. Things always have to go her way or she makes such a stink. Well anyways, about a year ago her and my future father in law retired to Portugal. She got mad at my fiance, pretty much for nothing, and has been angry ever since. Well, we have made multiple attempts to make things better, sending cards and gifts beyond anything that we needed to do. To make a long store short, my fiance talked to his dad tonight and she is NOT coming to our wedding! Part of me is happy because my fiances dad will be more himself which, I have never seen in our whole relationship. On the flip side there is something about it that makes me feel so disrespected and so bad for my fiance,although he is very happy that she is not coming..... I am just shocked!



On a happy note, I have been worried about the gifts for the little ones involved in the wedding and my fiance thought of a wonderful idea. When I was a little girl, I loved American girl dolls and so I decided to get my flower girl a bitty baby. She loves dolls so I think she is going LOVE it! Yay for checks:)

My Bridal Shower!

So I originally didn't get a chance to blog about my wonderful bridal shower that was last weekend because I came home and felt utterly exausted and then woke up monday morning with a blazing fever and sore throat and so many aches and pains that I didn't know what to do with myself.

The theme was a princess and tea party and it was a lot of fun and it was above and beyond what I had imagined! Here is a picture of me cutting my cake, which was so good!

And I got so many nice gifts and people went above and beyond...It was so much fun and I am so greatful!

DIY crazy!

So this week since I am on vacation from school I have been doing many wedding related projects and have actually gotten to more of them then I thought I would. I made one of my two memory candles. I am rather happy with how it turned out. I love how incorporates my colors!! :)

I also got in my invitation which even though they were a hassle to get I really like. My fiance designed the monogram that is on the front of them and I really think they do a good job of setting the tone that the wedding is a very romantic and elegant affair! :)

Invite Rant

So I am about to pull my hair out with the invitations that I ordered. So my fiance and I went in to order the invites on December 20th of last year. Everything went fairly smoothlywhile we were there and we decided to get the proof of the invitation just to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. So the proof was supposed to take about a week to come to us but it took like 3 instead. To boot, the proof was only the wording when it was supposed to have all the fonts and what not. I complain and it took them another two weeks to get us the new proof. The new proof then did not have the actual invite page. I was annoyed because that is the first thing people are going to see when they open the invitation...

So it took one more week for them to get us the invite page. Once I okay everything I had made one change to the meal choice and the lady assured me that it would be taken care of. They told me the invites would be in the next week but they took two weeks to come in. Okay I was a little annoyed after all this but decided to let it all go. My mom went yesterday to pick up the invites and they did give us a 30 dollar check for the proof so that was nice but guess what?

The change they were supposed to make with the meals, its not changed. I am so mad! Now I have to argue with them again. I am so not a fighter and just wish this would work its self out. UGH.......

Parent Gifts

My finace and I have been trying to check some things off our list that we have left to do and some of them have been easier than others. I seem to be stressing more as things get closer and its crazy how time flies! So for my parents, who have done so much for us reguarding the wedding amongst other thing, we decided a two night stay at a bed and breakfast on the Cape would be perfect. They never get a chance to do anything thing for themselves so I think they would love the time away. Now that I have figured it out, its just getting my fiance to find a good deal and get it done!

We also took half of the men of the bridal party to the Tux shop to get fitted, so thats a half check! This week we will reach the 100 day mark! It's getting close!

Aisle Runner

So tonight I finished my asile runner! I just traced it from a big piece of computer paper and then copied it. I am really happy about how it turned out and happy that it turned into a cheap detail!

So this weekend was the release of tickets for single games this season. My fiance got Red Sox tickets to give to his groomsmen as their gift for being in the wedding! It is very exciting to me to see things getting crossed of the list! :)

Scheming and such.....

So I got my pictures back from Melissa Robotti and I am very excited about how they turned out! These are a few PG-13 ones that I really like! What do you think? One of my friends did my hair and my fiance loves my hair curly so I know he is going to love it! I am only sad that I cannot do this one wedding day because I literally took out my curlers when I got there at 11:00 a.m. and my hair was flat by 1:00 p.m. I love my hair up just as much though so I will love it just as much!

On another note, my uncle, men and their big mouths asked his daugther in front of me if she wanted to "ask me about the thing they got in the mail today" and her daughter didn't say a word. Then he goes, "maybe I wasn't supposed to tell you that" SO guess what that means, MY SHOWER is coming soon!!! yay! This means my wedding is getting so close :) very exciting...

No Sweets

So I have decided that this is the only way! I have been eating sweets like crazy and I am the type of person that has to be all or nothing so as of today, I am done with sweets until after the wedding! This means only 4 months, which came and went on Friday... Ekk its getting so close.

My fiance and I went with our flower girl to order her dress. Her it is! It will be in white with a brown sash because the pink that this company had was way off from the pink of my bridesmaid dresses.

We also went to Carl Anthony Tuxedo to pick out the tuxes and then went well... Lots of checks this weekend.

Rehersal Dinner Invites:)

So with some inspiration from a fellow knottie, (2BMrsMurph) my lovely fiance made these invites for our rehearsal dinner! I am so excited at how they turned out. It really is so much fun to see things coming together!

Boudoir

So I had some boudoir pictures in December on the 14th right before Christmas. It was a marathon session where the photographer, Melissa Robotti, who I absolutely loved out of Boston shot me. My friend Anne came with me and helped me with all my outfit coordination and such. Well I was busy until New Years but now I cannot help but stalk my email and her blog for pictures! I am dying to see them. She said at the she would do them by wedding date and I am not until May so guess what, I am near the end. Sad face. Hoping Melissa sends me them soon....

Florals

So yesterday my mom, fiance and I went to see my florist because I have changed my colors since the last time I had seen them. I was a bit of an over zealous bride and got things done a little to early! :) It okay but now some things I have to do twice! Any who I was taking out red and adding in brown, so now I am a pink and brown bride with accents of ivory.

Well I wanted to take out the reds roses and add some touches of brown but I really wasn't too sure how I was going to make it work. So the florist told me about curly willows which look like branches and add height and just a fun and different touch! I am really excited about them :)

French Vanilla Iced Coffee

So I have been drinking french vanilla iced coffee ever since I was like 13 and my mom turned me on to Bess Eaton iced coffee. Well, Bess Eaton no longer exsists so I have switch to Dunkin Donuts and up until I started eating healthier, I used to get my coffee extra cream and extra sugar...which is more like milkshake!! I am proud that I have weaned myself down to skim milk and equal! I know artifical sweeteners are not that good for you but I don't like it without any sort of sugar in it at all. Any suggestions?

Anyways it is my afternoon "pick me up" and it satisfies me!

Today I did a new yoga workout after my Turbo Jam and Ab Jam workouts. I am really excited about it! It's called Yoga Fitness Plus and since doing it this morning, I am feeling a little sore which I am happy about because it has been a while since anything has made me sore! I found it on Exercise TV ON DEMAND...which I LOVE! It comes with most comcast packages and you should check it out if you get a chance.....

Lazy Day

So today was my first day back from vacation because I work in a school system. I was unaware that there was a delay because where I live it was really icy! So I got up at 4:50 and did my Turbo Jam workout and then did my yoga workout like I usually do. Then I decided since it was the first day back from va-k I would go in early. If I had only known I was 3 hours early! So instead of using my time wisely, I talked with one of my co-workers that is getting married and talked wedding craziness the whole time. It was a lot of fun!

Then I can home and did RIPPED series, Slim and Lean Series. I really feel lean from this workout. I would reccommend it to anyone who is trying to tone. I got it off Amazon and it was only like 8 dollars :) Got to love a bargain!

Push Ups

So, this morning I was doing my RIPPED 1000 workout with Jari Love which i LOVE! Its a high impact workout that has intervals of high impact cardio with a step and then intervals of strength training. It an hour long and the claim is that you can burn 1000 calories during the workout. I doubt that I burn that many but I think it might be close because boy is it tough!

Anyways on to push ups....

Almost all of my workouts have a push up sections and since we Wedding is in May, I have been really consistely working out since last May. Well, I have been doing push up since then on my knees and I feel like even though I have been doing them consistently for say, 8 months I am not getting any better at them!?! I feel like I still do them like this baby! I have no idea what I am doing wrong, but I do know that I have noticed that my shoulders and upper arms are more cut, so I guess I shouldn't care that much... I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for me

The Beginning

Hello all! It is a new year and I am ready to start it off right with some healthy eating and exercise. Right now my eating definitely needs to get under control becuase my sweet tooth is going from Christmas! I do have the exercise under control though. I work out six days a week and I am actually looking to change up my routine to get some further results. If you guys have any ideas, let me know. I exercise at home because I do not have a gym memebership.

I current use Turbo Jam, which I love. Its mostly kickboxing with a dance feel to it and I use it mostly for cardio.

I use the RIPPED series with Jari Love for strength training and I feel like since I have started using it I have seen some great results.

I use the Jillian Michaels Kickbox workout as a high impact cardio once a week and I really like it to change things up!

I also use the FIRM Shape Up workout which has intervals of both cardio and strength training.

I do yoga Fitness Fusion which incorporates traditional Yoga with some little cardio bursts and it really relaxes me and gets me ready for my day which I love.

And last but not least I do Perfect Body Makeover with Amy Dixon from Womens Health which has a cardio and strength training section but my favorite section of this video is abs, its KILLER!

I used Weight Watchers and lost about 15lbs so I really am looking to maintain and really work on my arms, legs and abs. It will be fun to share this!
